HANDBOOK 2013

A few friends have emailed me this before the new year eve.... Saje nak kongsi untuk kesejahteraan bersama...ahaks!

HEALTH

Drink plenty of water

Eat breakfast like a king; Lunch like a prince; Dinner like a beggar

Live with 3 E’s: Energy, Enthusiasm, Empathy

Play more games

Read more books than you did in 2012

Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes every day

Sleep for 7 hours (I beg to disagree here!! 5 should be alright!)

Take a 10-30 minute walk daily. And smile when you walk!

PERSONALITY

Don’t over do. Keep your limits.

Dont take yourself seriously. No one else does!

Don’t waste your precious energy on gossip

Dream more while you are awake

Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need

Forget issues of the past. Don’t remind your partner their past mistakes. This could ruin your present happiness

Life is too short to waste time hating anyone. Love everyone

Make peace with your past so it doesn’t spoil your present

No one is in charge of your happiness except YOU

Smile & laugh more

You don’t have to win every argument. Agree to disagree

RELATIONSHIPS

Call your family often

Each day give something good to others

Forgive everyone everything

Spend time with people over 70 & under 6

Try to make at least 3 people smile each day

What others think of you is none of your business

LIFE

Do the right thing

God heals everything

However good or bad a situation is, it will change

No matter how you feel, Get Up, Dress Up & Show Up.

The best is yet to come

When waking up, thank God for it

You inner most is always happy. So, be happy.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

TILTING THE SCALE

Everytime I get on the weighing scale, my response will be, " oh mannnn...". I don't like what I see. I don't freak out as I don't see the point of doing so, but piling up the kilos is not a good sight.

Each time I'm able to lose a measely kilo would make my day. Then I celebrate by eating, and so the vicious cycle starts again.

I spent 20 years of my life being underweight, and I could never imagine myself being fat. When I was in my teens I couldn't even finish half a plate of rice. I was thin and not very healthy. I can eat & eat yet not put on any weight. But I was too thin, it was unattractive. No curves....

Then suddenly my metabolic rate dropped, I stopped being active, and the kilos piled on, bit by bit. When I meet my ex-schoolmates, one of the fave comments is, "what happened?" . If there was a choice, beb, who wouldn't want to be thin again.... sigh....

So, what am I going to do? The plan is to be healthy.  Let's be realistic,  I'm never going to fit into a size 4 or 6 dress anymore. So i might as well aim to live healthily. Cutting down on sugar and salt, cutting down on the portions. Less snacks especially at night. I'm also avoiding certain supplements & contraceptive which tend to increase appetite.

Then most importantly,  exercise!!! Starting back on my gym a few days a week, and hopefully find some time to brisk walk or cycle on the weekends. Then hopefully even if I don't reach my ideal weight of 50 kilos, I would feel  alot healthier.

So, who's with me ??

POINTS TO PONDER 1

I've read this somewhere. So, I'm not going to take credit for this posting. Anybody who knows where this comes from, please come forward because I think this really makes sense on how you cope with life. I hope you can benefit from reading this..

1. People who know the most, know they know so little, while people who know nothing want to take all day to tell you.

2. Self-improvement can be harmful if you are doing it to look better. If you live your life in helping others look better, you'll be better without trying.

3. If you give to get something, you're not really giving, you are trading. Giving is never to get, because you already have it and are not aware of how much you have until you give.

4. Big people are always giving someone credit and taking blame; little people are always seeking credit and giving blame.

5. Don't worry about having to make a right decision. Make it and then work to make it right.

6. An attitude of gratitude flavors everything you do. Learning to be thankful is the golden thread woven through every truly successful life.

Adios for now!
